Thank you for purchasing your single pipe from BMP! This pipe has been extensively tested and engineered to provide maximum performance. It is hand-built in our Wisconsin headquarters. When looking at your pipe, you will notice various clearance dents which are need in the pipe. After installing the pipe, check all clearances to insure nothing is touching the pipe.

Installation of the pipe is as simple as removing the springs from the factory pipe and then placing ours in the sled and respringing the pipe.

  1. Take a 14mm wrench and remove the pipe temp sensor.
  2. Then remove the two springs holding the muffler onto the pipe.
  3. Next, remove the spring from the chassis in the middle of the pipe.
  4. Last remove the 3 springs holding the pipe onto the Y-pipe and remove the pipe from the sled.
  5. Place your new BMP pipe into the sled and respring the springs starting from the Y-pipe, mid-pipe, then finally the muffler.
  6. You may have to twist the pipe back into place when you are installing the springs as when you are doing so it causes the pipe to move.
  7. Check to make sure the pipe isn’t contacting anything before starting the sled.  

 

If you did not purchase our stage 2 clutch kit, make sure you run 3-4 more grams of clutch weight. Failure to adjust the clutch when installing this pipe can cause running issues resulted from a “cold pipe”. For best results use our stage 2 clutch kit.  

 

***IF RUNNING THE PIPE WITHOUT OUR TORQUE LINK TUNER MAKE SURE THE SLED IS IN ETHANOL MODE, AND RUN NON-ETHANOL FUEL*** 

DOING THIS WILL RICHEN THE MACHINE AND MAKE IT SAFER TO RUN ON THE STOCK MAP. We HIGHLY recommend our custom tuning which offers huge performance gains and safer tuning as well as you can now run without ethanol mode. If you run into a case where you can only get 10% ethanol fuel (with stock tuning) we simply recommend not doing any wide-open pulls for longer than 5 seconds.  

If running this pipe with the stock fuel tune run 8000-8250 RPM for best performance
